Provisional motorcycle licence or a provisional
motorcycle entitlement on a full car licence.
Compulsory Basic Training.
Learners must display L plates, may not ride on motorways and may not
carry pillion passengers. Learners are generally restricted to motorcycles
up to 125cc. Those age 21 plus may practice on larger machines while
accompanied by an approved motorcycle instructor on another bike in
radio contact.
Practice and further training.
Take test on a motorcycle of
between 121cc - 125cc and
capable of 100 kph.
Standard Motorcycle Licence.
Riders aged 21+ may take their
test on a motorcycle with a power
output of at least 46.6bhp
and must be accompanied by an
approved motorcycle instructor
on another bike.
Module 1 - Specified Manoeuvres
Apply again - 3 working days
- Two year life of theory test
and CBT certificates.
